The University of Miami contracts the majority of its Custodial and Landscaping services. We generally manage performance-based contracts which provide all necessary management, supervision, labor, equipment, vehicles, materials and supplies. On the Coral Gables campus, custodial services are overseen by the Sr. Manager for Contract Administration.
The following services are provided to the Coral Gables campus:
■ All janitorial services, including routine, floor care, and project work
■ All grounds keeping maintenance and landscaping services
■ Athletic field maintenance
■ Stadium cleaning
■ Parking lot & garage cleaning, blowing, & leaf removal
■ Moving and utility services
■ Solid waste collection and disposal
■ Recycling collection and disposal
■ Disaster preparation and restoration
■ All window washing inside and out up to 10 feet
■ Lake and waterway maintenance
■ Clean all refrigerators and microwaves
■ Fall/Spring Opening Residence Halls
■ Fountain/water feature cleaning
■ Pest & animal control
■ Respond to all service calls
■ We operate a 24/7 operations work control - 305-284-8282
■ Pressure washing of walkways 25 feet from within the building
■ Environmentally conscience green products
■ Hand sanitizer stands and refills
■ Dry erase markers and erasers, and chalk
■ Promote energy conservation practices
■ Event cleanup and support*
*Many University of Miami events are part of our base contract which includes setup, pre-clean, porter services, post clean. Exceptions are the Shalala Student Center, Norman A. Whitten University Center, Maurice Gusman Concert Hall, and The Robert and Judi Prokop Newman Alumni Center.
